Where Does Your Tree Debris Go?

Recycled Wood Piles

Introduction

The tree industry is notorious for waste. Massive amounts of organic material end up in landfills every year. But at Wicked Nature, we’ve built a 'Full Circle' philosophy that ensures every tree we remove finds a second life. We believe in respecting the resource, even when it has to be removed for safety.

In this guide, we’ll show you the journey of your tree debris—from the moment it hits the ground to its transformation into community support and artisanal art.

Step 1: The Technical Removal

The Goal: Precision and Safety
Every journey begins with a safe removal. We use our quiet electric tools to bring the tree down. Instead of just tossing wood into a truck, we sort it on-site. Branches are destined for the chipper, while the main trunk is assessed for its potential as timber or furniture wood.

Step 2: Chipping & Mulching

The Goal: Soil Health
The smaller limbs and debris are processed through our industrial chippers. This organic mulch is either returned to the community for soil health or used in local landscaping projects. It’s the perfect way to return nutrients to the Georgia soil.

Step 3: The Artisan Selection

This is where the 'Wicked' magic happens. Premium logs are taken back to our shop to be milled and air-dried. These pieces will eventually become the handmade signs, furniture, and décor found in our Home Décor Outlet.

“Sustainability isn't a buzzword for us; it's a process. When we take a tree down, we ask: 'How can this continue to serve the community?'”

The 'Full Circle' Impact

When you choose Wicked Nature, you aren't just hiring a contractor; you're supporting a circular economy.

The Results:
✹ Reduced landfill waste from South Georgia tree projects.
✹ Creation of unique, locally-made artisanal goods.
✹ Funding for local schools through the 'Full Circle' profit model.

Not all wood is destined for the chipper. We set aside premium hardwoods like Oak, Cherry, and Walnut for our artisans to mill and dry for furniture.

Closing the Loop

Our mission is to leave every property—and the planet—better than we found it. From the $100 donation per tree to the final piece of furniture, we are committed to a zero-waste future.

How You Can Support Sustainability

Ask for Mulch: If you have a garden, ask us to leave the wood chips from your project! It's the best way to suppress weeds and hold moisture.
Buy Artisanal: Choosing handmade wood décor over mass-produced plastic items reduces your environmental footprint.
Refer a Neighbor: The more projects we handle, the more we can donate to schools and the more wood we can keep out of landfills.
Learn the Wood: Ask us about the species of your tree. Knowing it’s a Georgia Oak or a Southern Pine adds to the story of the décor we create from it.

Handmade Wood Signs

“From the $100 school donation to the handmade signs in our outlet, every part of our process is designed to give back. Nothing goes to waste.”
